I have a BMus (hons) in Performance, after which I enrolled on the Royal College of Music's Piano Accompaniment course where I studied with John Blakely and Roger Vignoles and was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma, generously supported by Pro Musica Limited. I also have an MMus from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I studied contemporary music with Rolf Hind, with scholarships from the Worshipful Company of Stationers and the Guildhall School Trust.
I have been working as an accompanist since 2001, playing with instrumentalists and singers from the age of 5 through to professionals. I have excellent sight-reading skills, and am experienced with following younger and often less confident/experienced musicians in performance situations, having worked for 7 years as school accompanist in numerous state and independent schools, and Head of Keyboard at an independent school in Devon. I am equally at home playing challenging repertoire, and continue to perform professionally as both soloist and chamber musician.
Fees
For exams (ABRSM, Trinity, GCSE etc) I would typically charge £30 per hour for any rehearsals, and half the cost of the exam fee for the day of the exam.
