Stuart was born in 1989 and raised in Ferndale, Wales. Stuart is a pianist, accompanist, Organist, conductor and bass trombonist.
Stuart is currently the conductor for Côr Meibion Morlais, Organist for Co-Op Funeral care, Ferndale and is also a wedding pianist.
Stuart’s first piano lesson was with the late Joan Davies of Ferndale. After
staying with Joan for 10 years and studying trombone at school from the age of 12, he decided to study for a BMus Music Performance degree between 2007 and 2010 at the London College of Music, University of West London.
In August 2012, Stuart established a small piano school based in Ferndale, Rhondda taught his pupils Piano and music theory, and was a keyboardist in a function band called “The Kre8ers”.
His highest education qualification to date is a PGCert in Performance after studying again at LCM in 2018 and 2019. Stuart studied his first study instrument, known to the university as the bass trombone, with teacher Jonathan Pippen. Stuart, here at this time, also studied piano duet with Nataša Šarčevič.
Stuart’s highlight of his career has been as a peripatetic piano teacher at Park High School at Stanmore in London, accompanist for Mark Llewellyn Evans, Laura Mansell, Sarah Lark (de la Bédoyère) and Gwawr Edwards. He has played in school productions such has being an accompanist with Pinner Park Primary School and Coedpenmaen County Primary School near Pontypridd. He has accompanied instrumental exam candidates at ABRSM headquarters in London. Stuart has been guest accompanist or accompanist to the following organisations:
University College London Choir, Treorchy Male Choir, Pendyrus Male Choir, Llantrisant Ladies Choir, Llantrisant Male Choir, Selsig Operatic Society, Heritage Singers (Pontypridd), Côr Meibion Morlais, Ladies of the Lake choir and Côr y Gyrlais.
