Raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, Cheuky completed her Master of Music with Distinction in 2006 and Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in 2011 at the University of Canterbury, NZ. In 2007-08, she undertook Postgraduate Studies in Piano at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, Germany. She was the recipient of the University of Canterburys Masters Scholarship in 2005, the Leslie Atkinson Memorial Prize in Music in 2003, and the Keith Laugesen Music Scholarship in 2017. She was a NZ Operas Freemasons Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist between 2013-14. In 2017, she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Répétiteur and Accompaniment at the Wales International Academy of Voice under Dennis O'Neill CBE.
Cheuky has performed at the NZ Embassy in Berlin, Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida, Wales Millennium Centre, the Royal College of Music, and numerous major centres across NZ. She has performed alongside Dame Malvina Major, Plácido Domingo, Katherine Jenkins, and Jason Howard. Cheuky has worked with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the International Akaroa Music Festival, IFAC Handa NZ Singing School, NZ Opera, Welsh National Opera, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
Cheuky accompanied the Comrades Males Choir on tour to Malta in 2016, the UK Lions Rugby Male Choir on tour to New Zealand in 2017, and was the principal accompanist for the Phoenix Singers and the Abercynon Male Choir in 2017. In 2018 she was the repetiteur for Wedmore Opera's production of "Cavalleria rusticana" and guest accompanist for Larkhill Choral Society. She has accompanied numerous choirs and choral societies in New Zealand.
In addition to her performing activities, Cheuky teaches piano at Millfield Prep and Senior Schools.
