Georgia started her music studies by playing the piano at a young age. She studied theory of music and musicology (BMus, University of Athens). She received her piano Diploma from the Attiko Conservatoire of Athens (First in Performance) and continued my studies under the world famous pianist Dimitris Toufexis. In 2002 she was appointed as a permanent piano teacher after being successful at the highly competitive national exams for personnel selection (ASEP), organized by the Greek Ministry of Education. During her career in Greece she worked continuously in these schools as a full time permanent piano teacher from September 2002 to September 2007. At that time she also established a career as a professional singer, travelling around Greece for performances in multiple venues and concerts of both classical and popular music.
In 2007 Georgia came to the UK for postgraduate studies in Music Performance at the University of Leeds. She got to work with some brilliant teachers, singers and accompanists, both in the university and outside. After obtaining her Masters degree, she worked with undergraduate students teaching piano and singing up to Grade 8. At the same time she performed with Opera North in local fundraising events as a singer, and did a lot of piano accompanying, sometimes combining it with repetiteur work as well. After leaving the university she worked as a piano teacher, piano accompanist and repetiteur in schools, academies and privately, as well as with many amateur and professional groups as a singer, musical director and choral director.
Today she teaches from her home music studio in Kingsweston, Bristol, and online, and she accompanies singers and instrumentalists in concerts and exams.
