Melissa Black is known as the BEST PIANIST and VOCAL COACH in all of the Phoenix area! Melissa has a Masters Degree in Vocal Music Education and can sing and play ALL STYLES OF MUSIC BY EAR - DO ON-SIGHT TRANSPOSITIONS BY EAR - and has PERFECT PITCH! Melissa is an expert reader of all types of music and can transpose that music by ear to fit the singer. Melissa is classified as a Lyric Operatic Soprano and has performed many roles in Opera and Broadway productions from her days in Oklahoma City. Her formal education is from OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY and THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA, as well as THE AIMS INSTITUTE OF MUSICAL STUDIES in Graz, Austria. Melissa spent many years on the Adjunct Music Faculty of Oklahoma City University as a Collaborative Pianist. Melissa also spent many years in Oklahoma City with Lyric Theater as a singer and rehearsal pianist. Her studio is in Peoria, Arizona.
