Stefan Popov received his Master degree in Piano Performance from “Pancho Vladigerov Academy of Music”-Sofia, Bulgaria and graduated with a Bachelor of Sound Engineering. During his studies Stefan was also exposed to other instruments like flute and digital piano - a testament to his versatility as a musician. He has performed as a soloist and accompanist at numerous recitals and competitions in Bulgaria, Germany and Norway. The repertoire includes various works from Baroque to contemporary. Joining in different chamber ensembles, he has recorded for the Bulgarian national radio and television.
Currently based in Singapore, Stefan Popov is a senior faculty of Mandeville Conservatory of Music and devotes his time to teaching piano students and participating in many local concerts and performances. Not only is he sought after by students as an accompanist, he is also active on the chamber stage. Stefan Popov collaborate regularly for recitals, and most notably the music series Music for Friends in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.He has performed at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Young Musician Society, Lee Foundation Theatre, Alliance Francaise de Singapour,The Arts House,NTU and UCC.
