I possess a Masters degree in piano performance and 50+ years of experience as an accompanist. As one might imagine, in that time frame, I've done many things, from church pianist to musical theatre to collaborative recitals, but most recently, I've been the accompanist for the North Carolina Master Chorale. In my fifteen seasons with NCMC, I've prepared dozens of choral masterworks for our 170-voice Symphonic Choir as well as widely varied repertoire for our professional chamber choir. I've been honored with solo slots on their concerts, playing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and the Beethoven Choral Fantasy.
While choral accompanying is a specialty, I also enjoy collaborating with vocal and instrumental soloists. My special skills include exceptional sight-reading, open-score reading and playing orchestral reductions.
While I am primarily a pianist, I have also accompanied on organ, harpsichord and keyboard.
