A music graduate of Cambridge University, John has a wealth of experience and has accompanied professional musicians and students in UK and Asia, including members of the BBC and Liverpool Philharmonic orchestras, and the Southend Boys' Choir at venues including Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
He is accompanist in residence for the newly formed Cambridge International Opera Company and has just (April 2017) completed an exceptionally successful tour that included City Hall, Hong Kong, The Chinese Cultural Centre Concert Hall, Singapore, and the Dussit Thani Hall in Bangkok. The Prime Minister of Thailand attended with ambassadors of Germany, Greece and USA.
John is reliable, friendly, sensitive in performance, happy to travel and able to deal with complex accompaniments. He has held a number of prestigious Director of Music positions in the UK and Asia. Videos are available upon request.

Fees

HK$ 400.00 Hong Kong Dollars Per Hour
I prefer to work out a charge that includes the concert or examination. That way, if we need to do a little more work to get something challenging right, the musician need not have reservations about needing more practice time. If the accompaniment is very difficult, I'll factor it into a charge before starting work and then stick to it. I am not a counter of minutes but the quality of performance is of paramount importance to me.
