Mexican pianist Miguel-Gerardo Brito is a graduate from Master of Music program in Collaborative Piano Performance at the University of Toronto, where he was a pupil of Professor Steven Philcox. Miguel’s studies at the University of Toronto were made possible with support from the “Scholarship Program for Studies Abroad 2016” from Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and Arts, in cooperation with Mexico’s National Council for Science and Technology (FONCA-CONACYT 2016).
Miguel has also pursued post-graduate studies at University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music CODARTS. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston. His principal piano teachers have been the Nancy Weems (University of Houston), Aquiles Delle-Vigne (CODARTS), Mauricio Nader (Mexico City), and Rena Sharon (UBC) from whom Miguel received mentorship within the area of solo piano and chamber music.
