Shandra Love is a professional classical collaborative piano accompanist and classical pianist in Winston-Salem (27101, 27103, 27104, 27106), Wake Forest University area (27109), Clemmons (27012), Lewisville (27023) High Point (27265, 27263, 27262) and Greensboro (27408, 27410, 27411, 27412, 27455), and Kernersville (27284, 27285), Statesville (28625), Oak Ridge (27310), Summerfield (27358), Browns Summit (27214)and all areas of the Piedmont Triad in North Carolina.Ms. Love is the Departmental Accompanist at Winston-Salem State University for applied vocalists, woodwind and brass students. Shandra accompanies 15 applied music students and is versed in a wealth of collaborative repertoire.

I have an MM in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from George Mason University and an MM from Salem College with an emphasis in injury preventive keyboard technique. I have been accompanying for the past thirty-five years and have accompanied woodwind, brass, string players and vocalists.
I have been the Departmental Accompanist for applied students at Winston-Salem State University since August 2023. I accompany students at applied lessons, rehearsals, juries and junior and senior recitals.
Ms. Love obtained MTNA National Certification in Piano and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) through Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She obtained a Masters of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from George Mason University in May 2011 and a Master's of Music degree in Injury Preventive Keyboard Technique from Salem College in May 2023 where she studied with the renowned Dr. Barbara Lister-Sink.
Ms. Love's influential teachers included Dr. Anna Balakerskaia (Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory), Dr. Joanne Haroutounian (internationally renowned piano pedagogue), Dr. Andrey Kasparov (Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory) Dr. Julie Hahn (Peabody Conservatory) and Dr. Eric Ruple (James Madison University).
Upon request, Shandra can also travel to Statesville (28625), Salisbury, Concord, Charlotte, Durham and Raleigh for collaborative accompaniment. She was a former flautist for 25 years and married to a euphonium and trombone musician. Although Ms. Love specializes in vocal, woodwind and brass accompaniment, she can accompany any instrument, including violin, viola, cello and string bass. Ms. Love places special importance on sound, fingering and technique. She will be collaborating with a professional string bass player in Salisbury in spring 2025.
At Winston-Salem State University, Shandra provides accompaniment for applied music students at performance seminars, auditions, juries, and junior and senior recitals. Shandra is skilled in sight-reading, collaborating with a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists and capturing the nuances of a variety of works. She is adept in learning orchestral reductions, Broadway vocal repertoire and advanced instrumental and vocal repertory at the university and conservatory level.

$ 85.00 Dollars Per HourMy accompanist fee includes rehearsal time and practice time in learning the music. There is a separate fee for the performance.
