Shandra Love has been the Departmental Accompanist for applied students at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) in Winston-Salem since August 2023. Ms. Love accompanies 15 students at WSSU and is a classical pianist, collaborative pianist, collaborative accompanist, church pianist, church accompanist and piano accompanist specializing in a wealth of liturgical (anthems and orchestral reductions), instrumental, and vocal collaborative repertoire and solo piano repertoire.

Ms. Love also has organ experience and can be a substitute church pianist at a Baptist, Episcopal or Quaker church. Ms. Love possesses a Masters Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from George Mason University and a second Masters Degree in Injury Preventive Keyboard Technique from Salem College. She is also a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) in piano through Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

I have a Curriculum Vitae and detailed repertoire lists on my website and specialize in accompanying Italian, French and German Art Songs, Broadway repertoire and Negro Spirituals. I am available to accompany students auditioning for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competitions, other instrumental and vocal competitions, and solo and ensemble festivals in Guilford County, Forsyth County, and all areas of the Piedmont Triad.

The NATS student auditions are taking place at University of North Carolina-Greensboro (UNCG) on February 14, 15 2025. I am available to accompany vocal students specializing in Italian, French and German art song as well as Negro Spirituals. I have special rates for NATS vocalists.

Rates are different for middle and high school students participating in solo and ensemble festival through Guilford County and Forsyth County.

Fees

$ 75.00 Dollars Per Hour
My accompanist fee includes one hour of rehearsal time. There is a separate fee for the performance, competition or audition. However, fees for middle and high school students participating in Solo and Ensemble festival or National Association of Teachers of Singing vary depending on the level of the repertoire.
