My name is Alex Jenkins. I am 22 years old and have just completed my MA in music at the University of Nottingham in September 2011. In July 2010 I graduated with a BA(Hons) in music also from the University of Nottingham, achieving a 2:1. As part of my MA programme I performed an hour-long solo recital, playing pieces of FRSM standard. Also, over the last few years I have performed solo recitals in my hometown of Maesteg in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
I have a lot of experience in accompanying, having accompanied male voice choirs, mixed voice choirs, solo singers, instrumentalists and repetiteuring for instrumental groups and singers. Sight-reading is one of my favourite things about playing the piano, and so have had great success with accompanying, finding many people that I accompany for concerts or recitals return time and time again. I have a great working relationship with the people I accompany, often offering my own tips and ideas for performance, believing the musical output to be a collaborative effort. I am extremely dedicated and punctual, willing to work extremely hard to show the singer(s) or instrumentalist(s) in their best light.

Fees

£ 25.00 Pounds Per Hour
I am willing to travel, but charge for additional travel expenses depending on how far away the venue is. A set fee for a full project rather than per hour is open for discussion; this might prove to be a more suitable option in many cases.
