27 year old pianist Alexey Trushechkin is currently a student of Alexander Kobrin, the L. Rexford Whiddon Distinguished Chair in Piano. He studied previously at the Moscow State Conservatory (with Prof. Maksim Filippov) and is a laureate of the Neuhaus Competition in Moscow. In addition he is a laureate of the Skryabin International Piano Competition in Paris and the Parnassos International Competition in Monterrey, Mexico, where he took 3rd prize. He has performed numerous times with orchestras and conductors including K. Orbelyan, V.Rizhaev, and F. Krager. He has performed in recital in countries around the world including Russian, Germany, Ukraine, France, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Mexico, and the United States
