André Piolanti (born in Lisbon, 1989) is a Portuguese pianist. He began his piano studies at the age of nine with Professor Maria Filomena Campos at the Music Conservatory of Santarém where he graduated in 2007 with honours.
In 2007, he was accepted at the Castelo Branco School for the Arts to pursue his undergraduate studies with the distinguished Professor Caio Pagano. In 2010, he was awarded a ''Special Talent Award'' to pursue his studies at Arizona State University in Phoenix (USA) under the guidance of Caio Pagano. He has performed in solo recitals, in duets and chamber music groups in Portugal, Romania, Italy, Spain and the United States. In Portugal, most of his recitals have been broadcasted live through the Portuguese radio station ''Antena2''.
André is often invited to perform by the most claimed pianists such as Vitaly Margulis, Jorge Luis Prats, Josep Colom, Artur Pizarro, Jun Kanno, Manuela Gouveia, Sequeira Costa, Galina Eguiazarova, Boris Berman and Michel Pridonoff.
André Piolanti won First Prize in the 1st Piano Competition of Santarém in Portugal, 3rd Prize in the Mozart Piano Competition in Romania and the 3rd prize in the Florinda Santos International Piano Competition in Portugal.
He currently teaches at the Music Conservatory of Santarém, in Portugal.
