I am a first-class sightreader, with extensive experience of examination and festival accompaniments at all levels. I also read chords and play by ear, both reasonably fluently. I have a BMus and Post-grad diploma in piano performance and my day job is Head of Music at a large Auckland secondary school, so I am used to working, in particular, with young musicians. My aim is always to put the performer at ease and make the rehearsal and performance process an enjoyable experience, for us both.
