I studied at Royal College of Music,London, as a solo pianist and as an accompanist. I gained the G.R.S.M. and A.R.C.M.(in performing), and went on to both teaching and playing. I taught piano at St.Paul's Girls School, London, and then became the accompanist at the Yehudi Menuhin School for 15 years,following that with the Head of Accompaniment post at Wells Cathedral School,in Somerset, which I held for 20 years. I have also examined for the Associated Board, worked as an accompanist for the Paul Tortelier Cello Competition, was orchestral pianist for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and audition pianist for the Philharmonia Orchestra,also the National Youth Orchestra. I am also very experienced in coaching small ensembles.
