I have humbly had opportunity to accompany many legendary local Kansas City artist such as: Sonny Kenner, Claude “Fiddler” Williams, Queen Bey, Angela Hagenbach, Sharon Thompson, The McFadden Brothers, Bobby Watson, Dr. Wayne Goins (Jazz Director at KSU), Richard Ross, and many more. I toured in Brazil in 1998, where I accompanied jazz singer Queen Bey and the internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist, Arthur Blythe; served as the accompanist musician for the KC Boys Choir from 1997-2000; and, was a featured artist for the 2004 and 2005 Swing Series Concert seasons at the Manhattan Arts Center in Manhattan KS. Recently, he was featured at Kansas City’s Rhythm and Ribs Jazz Festival in 2006, and recently in April of 2012 for the Just Jazz Series.
Currently the pianist for the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, (www.kcjazzorchestra.org) Nine years since its existence. With this band we have accompanied may artist such as: Ken Plewoski, Byron Stripling, Karin Allyson, Debra Brown, Eldar, Ernie Andrews, Houston Person, Harold Jones, Clark Terry and more.
Minister of Music for 25 years. In this position I handled music preparation for all music groups as well as instrumentalist. I was pianist for the Hyatt Hotel at a Restaurant called SKIES here in Kansas City where I provided live solo music for the guest. Very well at playing all genres of music. Jazz, Kids songs, contemporary Jazz, Jazz standards, gospel, pop, rhythm and blues (R & B), Blues, Rock, Easy Listening, etc.
Have accompanied very may weddings. I do sing some as well.
I was music director for several local plays in Kansas City. “18th & Vine The Musical” 1997, “Between Me and God” 1995; “Never Less Than a Man” 1994. Music director for Kansas City group that went to perform at the MUSIC CITY JAM 2007 in Nashville TN on the river front. Host for this was (grammy award winner) saxophonist KIRK WHALUM. Accompanied High School and College Musicals on piano. I have played solo piano, duos, trios, any size are genre group, as well as organizing them.
Was music director for a group from Kansas City that went to Fez, Morocco in 2006 to be a part of the “JAZZ IN THE RIADS FESTIVAL”
Private piano Instructor for over 40years.
Currently have 2 CD's available. One Christmas and one Jazz Standards.
