Singapore-based Malaysian pianist, Chee Yap awarded John Ireland Prize ‘First Prize’ and Third prize for the Bach Prize and Lamond Prize during his study in the United Kingdom. Also, awarded ‘The Best Final Recital’ by Singapore Raffles Music College in 2011. Chee Yap holds Master of Music(MMus) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Bachelor of Music in Music Performance(BMus) from the University of West London.
During his studies abroad, he has privilege to study under professor Jonathan Plowright, Jeremy Davis, Sinae Lee, Martin Roscoe, Jean-François Antonioli and Christina Ortiz to develop his musical knowledge as a classical pianist. After he graduated, he performed as a soloist and accompanist in Scotland, England, Italy, Singapore and Malaysia.
Chee Yap currently perform actively as a piano accompanist across Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom.
