I graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire having studied piano with Malcolm Wilson and piano accompaniment with Paul Hamburger of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then I have worked in a piano trio performing all round the UK. I am the pianist for Harmonica UK playing for the numerous festivals and events with them. I have a wide experience of working with singers in particular the opera singer Margaret Preece and numerous instrumentalists, and play regularly with several choirs in the West Midlands area including Community Spirit which is a great choral event taking place in Symphony Hall for which I have played eight concerts.
I enjoy playing in most styles and have a wide experience of jazz piano having studied with John Patrick, John Serry from the USA and Adam Glasser. I’m also a composer and arranger. In 2021 I had two semifinal songs in the UK Songwriting Competition, of 6500 entries from 80 countries the top 20% were semi finalists. I am currently a keyboard/piano teacher with Solihull Music as well as juggling a busy freelance career.
