Corey is an active freelance pianist and private instrumental teacher, he has worked in many areas, including musical direction, music education, function performances, recording sessions and musical theatre.

Alongside studying in York, Corey continued to work as a freelance musician, recently co-founding The Little Red Dot Theatre company in York. The production company of which Corey was Assistant Musical Director, technical advisor and Orchestral Pianist produced a production of Into The Woods received a full house on each performance and great reviews.

He has recently worked as a rehearsal pianist for York Theatre Royals production of 'For The Fallen', and Opera Schmopera production of 'A Shoe Full of Stars' an award-winning opera about teenagers responses to terrorism (YAMAwards - Best Opera for Young Audiences 2018), a Heathers the Musical workshop with choreographer and director Gary Lloyd, and was Musical Director for Legally Blonde, York which was awarded Best Large Scale Event In the 'Love York Awards'.

Although regularly working in musical theatre, Corey frequently works with various choirs in Yorkshire; he is the regular accompanist for York Theatre Royal Choir, Assistant Musical Director at Cantar Community Choir, accompanist at Concentio in concert. He has also worked with various choirs in Yorkshire including the Military Wives Choir York, U3a Choir, York Priory Choir, and Osbaldwick Community Choir. He also regularly performs with University of York Piano ensemble recently playing 'Hill and Gully Ride' with composer Eleanor Alberga attending the performance. He recently worked on recordings of contemporary piano works for Dr Tom Armstrong (University of Surrey). Corey also played the piano with the University of York Jazz orchestra under the direction of John Warren.

Corey regularly works as a Musical Director and practitioner at various performing arts academies across Yorkshire including PQA York, Hull, Scarborough, Beverley, StageBox Kids, York Theatre Royal LAMDA and York Theatre Royal Homeschool Network.
