My name is Dan Kazemi. I am a New York based composer, music director, pianist, vocal coach, equity actor, orchestrator and arranger. Since graduating from Haverford College with a BA in Music Theory and Composition with a Theater Minor, I have gained extensive experience as an accompanist and teaching artist within the educational system, and as a professional music director and conductor. I am now an Associate Artist at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, having musically directed their productions of Assassins, Blues in the Night, Always Patsy Cline, Next to Normal and Cabaret. I am an excellent sight reader. I can play in any style, and because of my experience as a composer, I'm very comfortable playing off the page, arranging on the spot and shifting between styles. I have extensive experience playing alongside vocalists, and vocal arranging is a forte of mine.
