I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. I am currently working as an accompanist at Truman State University, where I accompany student, faculty, and guest recitals.
In my twenty-four years of piano-playing experience, I have developed a strong sense of musicianship, increased appreciation for unusual styles, a very sophisticated level of performance, savvy for accompanying and meeting the needs of vocalists and instrumentalists, and excellent sight-reading skills. I am striving to become the best performer/musician possible.
As indicated on my curriculum vitae, I have performed many degree recitals, informal recitals and seminars, and juries as both soloist and accompanist. In coordinating schedules for lessons, rehearsals, juries, and recitals, I have developed excellent organizational skills. In my work with various soloists, the Franklin Street Singers, and two Opera Workshops, I have learned how to approach different styles of accompaniments according to their needs, as well as how to use my time effectively and interact with soloists.
