I am an accompanist specialising in both vocal and instrumental, with excellent sight-reading skills. I also work as an accompanist for a 25-strong mixed ability choir, which involves playing in a variety of styles and genres, and has included taking rehearsals when the director has been away. I work closely with a vocal teacher and have accompanied many of her students in recitals and graded exams.
I have grade 8 in piano, clarinet and voice, and grade 6 theory, so I have much experience in other fields as well, which I feel assists me in my accompanying work. I also sing in many choirs, including the Royal Choral Society, so I know how they work from a singer's perspective and use this to my advantage when working with choirs.
