MMus (Distinction) - Royal Academy of Music 2005
BA (First Class Honours) - Durham University 2003
I have accompanied performers for recitals in venues such as St Martin in the Fields and Westminster Cathedral. I have experience of working with singers and instrumentalists of all types (I have first-rate sight-reading skills), and enjoy the challenge of obscure or modern repertoire. I have also performed professionally as a continuo player.
I was a Junior Fellow with the Royal Academy of Music Opera School from 2005-6, as well as teaching piano at various London schools. I have worked as a rehearsal pianist for Gilbert and Sullivan and Musical Theatre companies in various parts of the country.
In 2006-7 I was the Musician in Residence at a private school in Berkshire. I then spent 4 years as School Accompanist at the Loughborough Endowed Schools Music School, where I worked with children aged 7 - 18, accompanying all ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and London College of Music examinations. Coaching and accompanying children is very important to me.
I am currently the Education Accompanist for Opera North in Leeds, as well as being the regular pianist for a ballet school in Burton-on-Trent.
I have a music room (with piano) at my home in Sudbury, but am willing to travel for rehearsals if required.
