Hi! My name is Clare Schuch and I am 20 years old. I am studying at Miami University for a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and minors in Music Theatre and Arts Management. I went into Miami as a Music Education major with Piano as my primary instrument. I have taken piano lessons for 14 years and Accompanying lessons for 2. Before college I accompanied every group at my high school including: mass choir, concert chorale, freshman and sophomore chorus, and numerous soloists. In addition, I also accompanied three musicals from Broadway orchestral scores, and played in the pit during the show. In college, I have refined working with soloists for vocal and instrumental performances.
I work well in a fast paced environment and have many years of experienced compared to other accompanists my age. I also have learned that being a pianist and being an accompanist are two different things and I excel in accompanying. As an instrumentalist and a vocalist, I know what musicians need from a good accompanist and am able to provide it. I also work well with ages from children to adults.
