Biography
Evan Wang recently completed her Master’s degree in music performance. She is the student of Dr. Jody Graves at Eastern Washington University and actively performs both as solo artist, collaborate pianist with Eastern Wind Ensemble and Eastern chamber groups, and a high demand accompanist in the Eastern Washington area. Originally from Penang Malaysia, Evan is multilingual and able to speak 6 languages. She is the gold medal winner of the college level contemporary class and consecutive silver medal winners of collaborate music class with her chamber groups (the Paradox Piano Quartet and the Evnika Trio) in Musicfest Northwest in 2014-15. Evan is also serving as the president of EWU MTNA Collegiate Chapter since 2014 and actively participates in the national and state conference. With the interest and support to the contemporary music, she is currently running the collaboration project with the student composers at EWU and premiering their works together with the members of Evnika Trio. Other than actively involve in solo and collaborate performance, Evan is also teaching group piano class at EWU for both major and non-major students.
