Music graduate from Manchester University; L.G.S.M Diploma Guildhall (Accompaniment). Studied with Peter Donohoe, Gordon Back, Clifton Helliwell, Nina Walker. Experienced recital, exam and audition pianist, also specialising in musical theatre, ballet class accompaniment, and period dance. Strong sight reader, can transpose & sight harmonise, play keyboard continuo. Excellent aural skills - I can transcribe & work by ear - useful for music hall and folk styles. Over 30 years' experience in dance accompaniment. I also work as rehearsal pianist for musical theatre, opera, and choir rehearsals and drama productions, and for functions including weddings, funerals and corporate events.
