Masters Degree in Piano Performance combined with over twenty years of experience as an Arranger, Music Consultant, Vocal Coach, Technical Supervisor, and Accompanist.
Gregory Gauvin, a resident of Branford, CT, received with honors his Bachelor of Music in piano performance at the Western Connecticut State University in the Spring of 2008 under the study of Dr. Russell Hirshfield and Professor Patricia Lutnes. During his undergraduate career, Greg studied and appeared with many great performing artists including the late Skitch Henderson, Ksenia Nosikova, William Braun, and composer Joseph Schwantner. As a member of the WCSU orchestra, under the direction of Eric Lewis, Greg was given the opportunity to perform 20th and 21st century music. Greg also has substantial accompaniment experience in the French, German, and Italian styles performing with the students of Boyd Schlaeffer, Margaret Astrup, and Perry Price. Greg has since received his Master of Music degree in piano at the University of Connecticut under the direction of Dr. Neal Larrabee, while continuing performances of contemporary music with Jeffrey Renshaw as the pianist for the University of Connecticuts Wind Ensemble and the UCONN orchestra / chamber ensembles. Greg currently serves as accompanist, arranger, and assistant vocal director for the Downtown Performing Arts Center in New Haven, CT and Organist/Accompanist for St. George Catholic Church in Guilford, CT.
Proficient in all genres of music from the Baroque to Jazz.
Technical Skills: Adverse with Pro-Audio, Acoustical Dynamics and Electronics Repair; Familiarity with Pro-Tools, Finale and Editing Software. Certified Piano Technician.
