Hong Kong pianist Ingrid Tsz-yan Chan was awarded a scholarship to study with professor Pamela Lidiard at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has just completed the Guildhall Artist Masters in Performance with distinction and a Concert Recital Diploma for achieving a high distinction in her final recital. Recently, Ingrid performed at the Barbican Centre, St. John's Smith Square, St. Stephen Walbrook, King's College and Milton Court, London.
Ingrid received her Bachelor of Music Degree from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
under the tutelage of Professor Eleanor Wong. A recipient of the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation scholarship for two consecutive years during her studies, she was also the champion of the Trinity London Music College of ATCL (Piano Recital) Group in the Second Asian Youth Music Competition.
Ingrid is very active both as soloist and collaborative pianist. During her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she performed Debussy's Fantasie for Piano and Orchestra with Unitas Chamber Orchestra. Ingrid also represented Guildhall to perform in the pre-LSO concert at the Barbican Centre in May 2019. In the realm of Chamber music, Ingrid is a member of the Finesse trio who was invited to perform in the "Hong Kong Generation Next Young Artist Concert" at the Carnegie Hall, New York. Ingrid has taken part in chamber music and song masterclasses from distinguished pianists including Julius Drake, Malcolm Martineau, Michael McMahon, Martin Katz, Sebastian Wybrew, Ralf Gothoni, Julian Milford and Gordon Back.
