My name is Isabelle Wilson, I am thirty-five years old. I arrived in the United States eight years ago, after having obtained my Certificate of Piano from the Conservatory of Geneva (Switzerland), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language with a minor in Film Studies from the University of Geneva.
I speak French, Spanish and English fluently. I can read and have a simple conversation in German, additionally I am currently studying Chinese at CCSF. I came to San Francisco to complete a Master of Music in Piano Performance at San Francisco State University, under the direction of Drs Victoria Neve and Roger Woodward. I obtained a second Master of Arts with an emphasis in Music Education from the same university.
I worked in a private international school in Geneva for three years, giving piano, Spanish and French classes, and helping children with their homework. My private studio in San Francisco has been growing since 2009, and I have been teaching piano and group classes for four-five year-olds at the Happy Mozart Music School in San Mateo for four years. My experience there allowed me to develop and strengthen my teaching skills. I also learned about curricula for group lessons, as the school is using its own syllabus for beginner group classes.
I accompanied several instrumentalists and voice students of George Washington High School and San Francisco State University. I have been accompanying GWHS concerts, musicals, festivals, and competitions. I am also accompanying Presidio Middle Schools choirs on a regular basis, and worked with Everett Middle School for their winter concert 2015. I played the piano in several shows, such as Investigating Grace by Brenda Way, performed by SFSUs dancers for their Spring 2011 concert. I was a teacher assistant as part of the after-school program Music Team at the Elementary School Woodrow Wilson in Daily City until 2014.
I am always looking for new opportunities to accompany, as I enjoy thoroughly playing with people!
