Whilst studying as an organ scholar at Cambridge, I had the opportunity to accompany many people in a range of style and instruments. I have accompanied everything from Stanford to Sondheim and have helped rehearse opera. I have experience accompanying both instrumentalists and singers, and thrive on the creative partnership such work affords. My time accompanying choirs has taught me much about how to support performers flexibly. Perhaps my deepest passion is improvisation. I believe partnerships in which improvisation is at the forefront of the musical process truly blossom as the notes fade into the distance and the music comes to the fore. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to know more about my experience and approach!
I have ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano, Organ, Clarinet and Singing as well as a BA in music from the University of Cambridge.
