Jenna Richards holds an ARCT in both piano and violin, as well as a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from the University of Toronto. She moved to Ottawa in the summer of 2013 to complete a Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Carleton as an OGS recipient. Jenna has performed as a soloist and collaborator for the Young Persons’ Concert Series (Toronto Symphony Orchestra pre-concert programming), Ottawa Chamberfest (Ottawa), Music Mondays (Toronto), Gift of Music Series (Creemore), Orford Arts Centre (Orford, Quebec), Tuckamore (St John’s, NL), and in her native Halifax, NS. Currently, Jenna works independently for two choirs (Ottawa Brahms Choir and the Canadian Centennial Choir), the Ottawa Arts Council, and the Ottawa Chamber Music Society, as well as freelancing. In addition to her classical music work, Jenna has played for many musicals and operas as a rehearsal pianist, pit “keyboardist” and violinist. Past musicals include Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, How to Succeed in Business, and Kiss me Kate.
