My name is Jessica Rossman. I attended PSU for piano performance for three years where I received jury recognition once, jury honors almost every semester and highest honors in my department for the concerto competition (then decided that a degree in performance was never going to land a job for me). Now I transfered to LHU to attend a smaller school and earn my degree in Music Education instead. This is my first year as a music education major and I love it. I teach piano currently at Music One downtown Lock Haven and have five years of teaching experience between Robert M. Sides in State College, CLC (a charter school where I taught piano and music composition and theory), and now at Music One.
I have plenty of experience accompanying. When I was younger I did a lot of theater on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where I was not only an actor, but would accompany some shows and would accompany friends for auditions. During college I've accompanied many soloist for their juries and recitals. I am mainly a classical pianist and my strong points are reading music. I'm not much of a jazz pianist, but I do have a good strong foundation in music theory and have a very good understanding of chords and chord structures.
I can accompany anybody and can play anything you need, the harder the piece, the more time I will require (just like everybody else). I can do weddings, musicals, accompanying, or if you want lessons feel free to contact me or Music One.

Fees

$ 20.00 Dollars Per Hour
Fees may very depending on time alloted and how much home practice I will need. Most things are going to be $15 an hour, usually only huge classical pieces require a ton of at home practice. You can test me out if you'd like as well for $10. We will just have a meeting of what you need, show me the music, I will tell you what I think and sight read the music for you and you can let me know what you want to do.
