I graduated from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, with a degree in Piano Performance and worked as an accompanist/ piano teacher during my time there. I will be going to graduate school for Collaborative Piano.
I play with the skill of a professional pianist, but strive to provide a challenging, mutually-rewarding experience in rehearsal and performance as a leader and guider. To me, accompanying is an art in itself and a conversation between two people.
Some experience includes:
Rehearsal Accompanist for Crane Opera Ensemble, Spring 2010-12
Accompany two- six hour rehearsals for Crane School of Music Operas
Performed in the productions of On the Town, Cosi Fan Tutti, Kurt Wiell Cabaret, experience with pit size orchestra and woodwind quintet
Private Piano Accompanist, 2008-Present
Experience orchestrating efficient rehearsals, while collaborating with choirs, bassoon, voice, trombone, trumpet, cello, viola, clarinet, bass, violin and oboe for recitals and performances
