I am an experienced jazz and theatre pianist and largely self taught musician with a BA from the Open University which includes the theory and history of music. My sight reading is very good with a distinction at Grade 8 classical piano with ABRSM. I can also fluently use busking and chord charts for popular and jazz work. My performance work includes over 40 years playing with jazz trios, quartets and big bands including the Brighton Big Band which I run and my own trio and quartet which have performed widely in the south east and London. I’ve played solo piano as a resident pianist at the Grand Hotel in Brighton and at several other hotels and clubs in the South East. As an accompanist I’ve worked as a rehearsal and performance pianist for the Lewes Old Grammar School and with the Southwick Music Theatre 2000, Battle Abbey School and Bexhill Sixth Form College. I’d like to do more classical and theatre work accompanying singers and instrumentalists either in solo, chamber or choral settings.

Fees

£ 30.00 Pounds Per Hour
I am willing to travel anywhere within a days return as I have a car and good electronic keyboard and amplification if there is no piano available. Travel is free of charge within a 10 mile radius of where I live.
