I have worked with all ages and abilities and have vast experience accompanying musicians from double bass to flute. With a background in collaborative work and musical direction, I am a safe and confident pair of hands to support you in your performance. I have a Masters from the Royla Conservatoire of Scotland and 1st class Honours Degree in classical piano.
Currently responsible for accompanying and coaching over 60 students on the classical music course as a part time lecturer in Performance at Edinburgh College, I adore working with the next generation of young artists. Passionate about getting the best out of students, I believe that an accompanist should play an active role in coaching and nurturing the student.
I have accompanied numerous young musicians for ABRSM grades, most notably as an accompanist at the Royal conservatoire of Scotland. Indeed, I am frequently employed as a diploma and degree recital accompanist and have been in demand as a rehearsal pianist for opera and musical theatre productions. I relish the challenge of working with advanced musicians and have an extensive repertoire of advanced works under my fingers. This and my sight reading abilities equip me well to perform at short notice if necessary.
I have performed in venues from the Royal Albert hall and Victoria and Albert Museum to local schools and community centres. I love performing and working with musicians of all ages.
