I have been playing piano since I was 5 years (25+ years) when I started playing by ear. I was forced to take lessons to read music and I am so grateful my parents did this because it opened so many doors for me to be able to expand my repertoire of music especially playing piano throughout middle school and high school choirs. I grew up a church pianist as well playing for Sunday worship as well as the church choirs. Choir accompanying is my specialty and where my passion for piano is rooted. I am classically trained and spent a semester at IUP for piano performance where I realized that it was not going to be my career but my passion and outlet. I have a great sense of emotion and connection to choir music as it truly is where the love for piano grew for me. The greats like Dan Forrest, Craig Courtney, Joseph Martin and Kyle Pederson are some of my favorites!
I have also spent a great deal of time being a rehearsal accompanist and pit pianist for high school and local theater productions! Some of my favorites that I have done are Beauty and the Beast, Aida, The Sound of Music and Fiddler on a Roof!
