Hello!
What I have:
50 years playing the piano
43 years playing in church
Wedding music experience
Funeral music experience
Solid theory background---five years of lessons
Taught piano
Played for major conferences
Played in bands
I continue to learn---recently I attended a webinar on playing the piano effectively in a contemporary worship team.
I'm expanding my abilities---I'm learning the congas, orchestral recorder,keyboard/synth and guitar
I sing harmony vocals
I believe I can practice all I want, but God is what makes music really touch people. There are times I can feel Him sitting beside me on the piano bench. I almost feel His cheek brush against mine as we lean in toward the music. God knows who needs to here what piece of music played, and in what style they might need to hear it.
What I don't have:
College degrees
The ability to walk very far---I was in a car accident 20 years ago.
Perfect eyesight---Music needs to be enlarged, since an eye operation two years ago.
Fees
$ 15.00 Dollars Per Hour
I put $15 in the fee box, but really, I never know---there might be something I need to learn, or re-learn. Or I might end up composing part of a song. In one scenario, my fee might be lower, in the other, I might charge a bit more. The price is negotiable.
