I have been a pianist for some 50+ years. I won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music at age 11. I am familiar with much of the classical repertoire, favourite composers being Bach, Brahms and Rachmaninov. I am an excellent sight-reader. I have played a lot of chamber music and also accompanied instrumentalists for exams, pleasure and concerts. I used to belong to a group who mainly played early music such as Bach, Corelli, Handel, Boyce and others. I have a deep love of classical music but can also play blues and contemporary music (although this tends to be from the music rather from memory. I have also been a church organist for many years and have taught the piano. I particularly love accompanying either one or a group of instrumentalists - trios, quartets etc. I also used to frequently enter local music festivals for the borough when these were a regular feature.
