I'm an accompanist with 7 years' experience accompanying instrumentalists, vocalists, and larger groups such as choirs and bands. For practices, performances, and exams, I've accompanied musicians from beginner to above Grade 8 and degree level. I'm a skilled sight reader and can read and learn music very quickly.
A recent music graduate from the University of Surrey, I received high marks in performance modules and was the recipient of a scholarship for skilled performers. I also spent this time collaborating with and accompanying other musicians in a range of performances including chamber music and piano duet exhibitions.
As an accompanist, I'm a supportive and friendly presence on stage and have been commended for my ability to create a calm atmosphere on stage and in exams - where it's needed the most! Having been a piano teacher for 5 years I'm able to make music enjoyable, share my passion for it, whilst providing a relaxed and encouraging environment to learn and create music. With 15 years of experience playing the piano, I have a strong knowledge of musical repertoire, styles, and theory alongside a thorough understanding of graded ABRSM exams.
