KingsleyOtoijamun, fondly called ‘Kinzopiano’ is a talented music scholar and piano player extraordinaire whose life is engulfed in a versatile cultural permutation. With over three decades of high musical proficiency, He has always been known as a role model and a pacesetter in Nigeria music industry, art and culture. He is an intellectual and professional musician, a rare musical genius, a uniquely athletic performer, a man of enduring musical preeminence in Africa and an African cultural icon and Ambassador.
After two years of diploma degree in piano performance at Obafemi Awolowo University, Kingsley further his study in BA Music (Major in piano performance) to allow him to concentrate on courses he considered of more value to his future career i.e. Piano, Composition, Harmony and Counterpoint, Orchestration, African Music and Western music.
He also holds a Master of Arts in Music (Major in Music Education) degree with a distinction in 2018 from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He earned AssociationBoard of Royal College of Music (ABRSM) certification in music theory Grade 5in 2014 at Muson School of Music, Lagos, Nigeria. Aside from piano performance and music education, he also received training in Musicology, Music Therapy, Composition, African Music, African Percussion, Western Music and music technology. In six years at Obafemi Awolowo University, He earned two degrees in piano performance. His works which were written as a result of his experiences at this time are Iwa Irele for voice and piano, Afro-trado revolutionary etude for piano, Oodua Fm for orchestra – Signature tune for Osun State, Nigeria and Afro-trado Revolutionary Etude - an African piano and drum ensemble performed at The African Music Festival, ISEDAFEST 2014. Today, He is more committed than ever to his work as a performer, piano accompanist, entertainer and educator.
He is presently residing in Dubai where He is promoting African pianism to global relevance.
