Multi-Award winning pianist Kosmas Lapatas holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Classical and Modern Piano, Tonal Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Computer-Aided Composition, Musicology, Music Technology, Music Production and Music Therapy as well as awards and honors in Performance, Composition, Music Education and Art Therapy.
He studied under distinguished Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Julliard, Berklee, Mannes, Curtis, Gnessin, RAM, RCM, Mozarteum and Hellenic Conservatory allumni.
In 1995 he committed himself entirely to private and group teaching, accompanying, composition and recording. He has taught at prestigious public and private schools, colleges, conservatories and mental institutions under the Ministry of Health & Social Solidarity.
Prof Lapatas has attended more than 200 Piano Pedagogy and Piano Technique lessons under Ax, Bavouzet, Berman, Bernstein, Biegel, Borisovna, Buechner, Chiu, Dinnerstein, Dunn, Fei, Graffman, Han, Huangci, Kholodenko, Korepanova, Kramer, Kudo, Laude, Lowenthal, Namoradze, Nissman, Ohlsson, Oppens, Osterkamp, O’Conor, Parker, Penneys, Roskell, Schwizgebel, Sergeevna, Shinners, Speidel, Talgam, Toufexis, Traganas, Tyson and Vardi.

He acts as International Music Competitions Jury all over the world including the Alink-Argerich Foundation.
