Born in Ukraine, Liana Forest graduated from the prestigious Stolyarsky Music school in Odessa where she was a pupil of a renowned professor Ginzburg, a celebrated student of Henrich Neuhaus. She continued her studies at the Glinka Music Conservatory and Mills College.
Since 1993 Liana has toured nationally in the United States under the auspices of Columbia Artists, Inc. appearing as a recitalist and soloist with symphony orchestras. She was a soloist with the San Francisco Midsummer Mozart Festival orchestra conducted by George Cleve.
She also appeared in recitals in Germany and Austria, and performed for Princess Sofia of Romania. Her recent seasons have included appearances on National European Television in Holland, as well as orchestral and recital appearances in the US, Africa, Europe and Asia. Her acclaimed recordings of Romantic piano music are distributed worldwide. Since early age Liana enjoyed chamber music and appearing as an accompanist to her opera-singer father and other accomplished vocalists and instrumentalists.
