If you need an experienced pianist in Whatcom County, someone who charges reasonable fees, I hope you will consider me. I play piano, violin and viola and can help you learn those delightful instruments as your teacher, or as your coach who works in tandem with your teacher. I teach adults and children (starting age 9). i can coach you in your musical interpretation, besides be your accompaniest. I recently did that for a man who is in his 5th year of violin study. He wanted to play Violin Sonatas and I played the piano parts with him and coached him in his home in his violin technique and interpretation. His wife plays cello. It was a joy to introduce them to chamber music. I teach piano at home in Sudden Valley, and have been the pianist for Bellingham Community Chamber Orchestra. I play violin or viola there too. And violin in Skagit Symphony, and viola in chamber ensembles. I have taught Music Appreciation.

A have a good background in music theory and history, a WA State Teaching Credential in Music and English. I've been a musician all my life and love it. I have played for every kind of church service, weddings, funerals, and musical theater. I once had 28 piano students and love teaching. I am newly retired from teaching HS English and moved to Sudden Valley in Bellingham in early 2018. I am available most days & evenings for accompanying jobs, teaching and coaching. I do not teach remotely.

i have to charge extra if the music you give me needs to be altered in any way such as cutting and pasting, transposing , adding to it, etc.

I play classical and popular music. I don't play by ear.

I am a classically trained pianist, a piano teacher who had 28 students in California before I moved back to Washington. I live in Bellingham now, in Sudden Valley. I have a Washington State Teaching Credential in Music and English. I have taught Music Appreciation. For six weeks I conducted the Renton HS Orchestra and Dimmitt Middle School. I have provided the entire musical accompaniment for small theater productions (reductions) for schools and for community theaters: Peter Pan, Finian's Rainbow, Fancy Nancy, Fiddler On the Roof, Wizard Of Oz, and Annie. I have played violin in several musical orchestras. I have accompanied on piano vocalists & choirs. I currently play violin in Skagit Symphony in Mount Vernon, WA. I played violin or viola in several community orchestras in Seattle. I play piano, violin, or viola in string trios or quartets. I performed 3 times a duet with a cellist, the Piazzolla "Le Grand Tango." i perform at chamber music home recitals. I have been told I am a good sight reader. I love teaching musuc and playing music. My students learn to love it too. I enjoy teaching adults and children.

I will determine the fee when I get more information from you. Each situation is different. I may have to charge for transportation if I drive to you.
