A native of Fort Worth, Texas, pianist Linda Pritchett has become one of the areas most respected musicians. Linda is an alumna of Texas Wesleyan University, where she studied under noted composer/arranger George Anson. While a student, Linda was the rehearsal accompanist for the Wesleyan Singers and numerous TWU musical productions and countless other university musical activities. For several years, she was the accompanist for the All-City Choral Clinics under the direction of Dr. David Foltz of the University of Kansas. Even as education and experience honed her musicality and technical skills with classical material, Linda was developing her improvisational proficiencies in dance bands and other private performance venues. Linda has continued activity in academic music, by providing piano accompaniment for the music departments in several area Independent School Districts including Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Southlake, Arlington, Irving, Keller, and Azle. She is a frequent accompanist for Solo and Ensemble and UIL competitions. She recently performed before the conventions of The American Choral Directors Association and the Texas Music Educators Association.
Linda is remarkably versatile, performing Bach and Beethoven and Irving Berlin and Cole Porter with equal aplomb. Even so, perhaps her greatest strength is her musicality. More than just notes and rhythm, Lindas music conveys an uncommon sense style and vitality.
Linda is also a private teacher and holds memberships in the American College of Musicians and the Texas Music Educators Association. She is a frequent solo performer at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, Fort Worth Club, and Worthington Hotel as well as the areas numerous Country Clubs and private functions. Linda is the staff musician at Colleyville Presbyterian Church. Linda and her husband reside in Hurst, Texas.
