Hello! I chose to get both my master's and doctorate in accompanying because I LOVE collaborating and playing with others! I have been accompanying for over 30 years professionally and enjoy learning music for all instruments, voice types and all ages.

While at the New England Conservatory in Boston I studied with Margo Garrett, the queen of all accompanists, who helped plant the seed of the joy of accompanying. I went on to accompany at the Aspen Music Festival, where I was fortunate to play for Beverly Johnson's voice lessons.

After receiving my Bachelor's in Piano Performance from NEC I moved back to LA to begin my graduate studies with the wonderful teachers, Dr. Alan Smith and Kevin Fitzgerald at USC. While at USC, both for my MM and DMA in accompanying, I held a TAship in accompanying, where I played for many string studios, including the Schoenfelds, and voice studios AND later held an opera TAship, where I coached and rehearsed for all of the operas, including playing harpsichord in the orchestra pit.

While at USC, I accompanied the large chorus and since have accompanied the Chamber Singers at Pasadena City College for 13 years and both the large chorus and Glee Club at Pomona College for 6 years. I have rehearsed with LA Opera, Pacific Opera, Long Beach Opera, the LA Phil, the LA Chamber Orchestra, Repertory Opera, Pacific Opera Project and Pasadena Opera. I have held opera coaching and/or assistant conducting positions at Cal State Long Beach, Cal State LA, Cal Arts, Operafestival di Roma in Italy, Angels Vocal Arts, and the Idyllwild Summer Festival.

For many years I was a staff accompanist at Pasadena City College, accompanying many instrumentalists, voice classes, and playing juries and recitals for hundreds of students. I also accompanied at Cal State Long Beach for 8 years, including performing over 40 student recitals and over a hundred juries, several instrumentalists and singers at Glendale College and many of the student recitals and concerto competitions at Pomona College. I have also accompanied brass recitals at Chapman and UCLA.

In the past I was hired to play for the LA Master Chorale, AIMS in Graz, Operaworks and most recently played masterclasses with opera star, Vittorio Grigolo.

I have also worked a lot with younger players and singers, whether it's a string recital or a vocal competition. I am very patient with kids and try to make our collaboration fun and encouraging.
