Lori Lu was born in Qingdao, China, now based in Marysville, Ohio. Lori began studying piano at age four. As a soloist, she gives numerous recitals in China and America, passing her musical idea to thousands of audience. As a chamber musican, she enjoys playing with musicians from all over the world.
She has received awards from competitions such as first prize winner in the “Sheng Shi Zhong Hua” competition and the Qingdao Instrumental Vocality competition.
In 2018 she gave piano concert at the new build Phoenix Grand Hall in Qingdao, China. Piano recital of Bach celebration at Steinway Piano Gallery, Boca Raton, FL. In the same year, she was invited to perform at the Qingdao University.
Besides performing as a soloist, she also had experience as a collaborative pianist. In 2017 she had the privilege to serve as orchestral pianist for the Lynn Philharmonia. In 2018 she was the accompanist at the Qingdao International Cello Festival.
She also has a huge passion for teaching and music education. She was piano instructor at Lynn University Preparatory School of Music in Boca Raton, FL and Little Mozart Piano Summer Camp in Qingdao, China.
Lori earned her Master’s Degree in piano performance at the Boston Conservatory studied with the head of the piano department, Dublin International Piano Competition winner Max Levinson who is the first American to achieve this distinction and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Lynn Conservatory of Music in Boca Raton, Florida with full scholarship provided, where she studied with concert pianist, United States Artistic Ambassador, Roberta Rust.
