Accomplished in the arts of piano performance, Mary Kay Grout has been professionally directing, teaching, accompanying, and performing for over a decade.
Grout’s music career began in New Jersey where she got her start accompanying the choir of Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing. She then traveled to Castleton, Vermont, where she received her Bachelor of Arts, (concentration in music performance) from Castleton University. During her time here, she worked almost exclusively as an accompanist, and solo performer. After her years at Castleton, Grout continued her education by attending the University of Rhode Island and earning a Masters of Music (M.M.).
Grout then traveled to Missouri to continue her love as a collaborating pianist. Currently, Grout works at Antioch Middle School as the accompanist for choral groups and solo ensembles. She also works as a worship coordinator for McMurry United Methodist Church, accompanying their choir and directing the praise band. When not encompassed in her musical cacoon, Grout loves spending time with her husband Shawn, daughter Laureli, and dog Cooper.
