May has accompanied multiple winners of local competitions and concerto auditions and teaches piano to children and adults of all levels. She is a member of the DC Concert Orchestra Society and Friday Morning Music Club and regularly plays and performs with her piano trio (Arensky Trio) and other local chamber musicians. May grew up in the Pacific Northwest and was the winner of a number of local music competitions in the region. She has played in master classes for concert pianists Orion Weiss, Martina Filjak, and Jonathan Feldman.
