Performance Experience:
Sept 2001 - May 2005 Riverside, CA - California Baptist University
* Student Accompanist - For three years of my attendance, I worked as a student accompanist, playing for student lessons, juries and recitals. This included vocalists and instrumentalists.
* Women's Choir - I accompanied for this group for two years (junior and senior year). The choir performed most Sunday evenings at churches thorughout the area and went on a two week tour at the end of the spring semester
* Concert Band - I mostly played flute for this group, but I had opportunity to play piano for a few pieces that required it.
* Small Group Accompanist - I accompanied for a small vocal performing group of eight members during my junior year. This group was student-led, and performed more Sunday mornings at churches in the area. I also accompanied for two other small groups during two different summers. These groups traveled throughout the country to churches, camps, and schools.
Oct. 2006 - June 2007 ---Perris, CA - Val Verde Unified School District
* Performing Arts Assistant - In this school district I worked with a choral instructor who taught four different groups; two middle school choirs, and two high schools choirs. I played for her rehearsals three to four days a week and sometimes led sectionals. I also accompanied their fall and spring concerts.
2006 - 2009 Pathway Church, Redlands CA
* Played keyboard for the Pathway worship team each Sunday
* Mission music and drama team - On two separate summers (2006 and 2007) I traveled with a group from the church to South Africa, where we performed music and drama in order to teach HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention to school children. I played the keyboard.
Aug. 2009 - current Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA
* Graduate Assistant in Accompanying - With this assistantship I work with the Accompanist on staff. I am assigned about 7 vocal students in order to play for their lessons, a scheduled rehearsal time every week, and juries. I also accompany a few instrumentalists for student recitals and juries. This past spring 2010 I played with the concert band for David Maslanka's Symphony No. 7.
